My hometown

My hometown is Gyoda city in Saitama prefecture. I like Gyoda city, because I think this city is one of the most historic cities in Japan. Gyoda has many ancient burial mounds called kofun. Above all, the Inariyama kofun is very famous in Japan. In 1968, tekken (the iron sword of the Tumulus period) was excavated from Inariyama kofun. It was a great discovery. Moreover, Gyoda has the oshi castle. It was built in 1490, in the Muromachi period, but it was destroyed for the Meiji Restoration in the latter half of the 19th century. After that, it was reconstructed in 1987 and it is a museum now. When I visited these places and saw the Inariyama kofun and the oshi castle, I was very excited at their wonderful sights. This is why I like this historic city.

My hobby

To me, drawing is good for relaxing and stirring my imagination. I often draw a picture when I have spare time or when I am tired from something. When I was a high school student, I was often tired from preparing for the exam. In such a case, I took a little rest and drew a simple picture for relaxing. As a result, I refreshed myself and I could resume studying again. When I am free, I often set about drawing for a comic. I made a few comics with my friend in my junior high school days. A story is necessary for making a comic. I made a comic not only by thinking up the story but also by drawing  pictures that are related to the story. Consequently, I could stir my imagination. For these reasons, drawing is essential for my life.

My pet

I like cats, because they are cute and quiet. I have a cat named Riri. He is 5 years old. He is pretty and very quiet. Ifm ready to take care of him every day. But somehow, he doesnft get attached to me at all. I think it is because I take too much care of him. And he often went out of my house when I open the front door or the window to take in the washing. Once he goes out, he troubles a next-door neighbor. Therefore, I have to take him back. Though keeping animals such as cats is exhausting, he makes me feel refreshed. That is why I like cats.
