My Introduction and hobbies

Takayuki Kubota

My introduction and my hometown

My name is Takayuki Kubota, and I’m from Atami, Shizuoka Pref. I had been lived there since I was born. After I graduated from high school, I move to Takasaki to study at Takasaki City University of Economics. My family has five members. Father, mother, grandfather, younger sister and me. My parents run an electrical store. My hometown Atami has mild climate. The average temperature of there is higher than other cities in Shizuoka. Atami is one of the most famous spa resort cities in Japan. There are three hot springs called Atami, Ajiro and Izusan. Many tourists come to Atami even on weekdays. A firework displays are held regardless of season.

Trains

I like trains very much, especially JR East railways of the suburbs of Tokyo. I like taking trains, but the best I like is departure melody. Departure melody has a lot of variation and it is used at most JR East stations. There are eight or more companies making departure melody. Now local melodies are introduced to some station. For example, Maihama, the nearest station to Tokyo Disneyland introduces “It’s a small world” to the departure melody. The number of melody is over 150. The two best melodies I like are “Verde Rayo” and “Spring-box”. I often go to stations and record them. Some people make their websites and release departure melody they recorded to the public. Now I don’t have my website, but I want to make my website about departure melody. If you are interested in departure melody, please search on the internet. My favorite websites are “oriori” and “tetsuro-senritsu”. Both of them are Japanese websites.

This is the last run of series 113. At Atami station of Tokaido line.

This picture is series E231, a new train of JR east. At Kobayashi station of Narita line.

Magic the Gathering

My second hobby is Magic the Gathering (MTG). It’s sold 60 countries and it has 9 language versions, for example, English, German, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and so on. First MTG cards are printed on 1993. I have played it since I entered high school. My friend told me that there was a place where MTG players gather in Numazu, so I went there every Tuesday and Saturday. In Takasaki, there are similar place to play MTG. Also in TCUE, there are some persons who play MTG. I go and join the group, and play MTG too. I think I spend time on MTG more than on studying. I must change my life-style, but I don’t want to quit MTG. This is very big problem for me.
